WHAT ARE BIOMINERALS?
Bio-minerals are minerals produced by living organisms through controlled biological processes (biomineralization). In practice, nature “manufactures” minerals using cells, proteins, and organic matrices to obtain precise and functional structures.

Why do Quivi plates resonate?
When the sound of the environment around us hits the shell, it produces a series ofresonance wavesthat bounce from one wall to another. This mechanism is facilitated by the composition of the shell itself: calcium carbonate is a fairly hard material, on which sound waves bounce multiple times until they produce the characteristic sounds we hear. The phenomenon is calledHelmholtz resonance!
